Help can’t wait when emergencies strike. Your generosity through the American Red Cross provides immediate relief and hope — whether it’s shelter, food and care after a disaster; lifesaving blood or CPR in a medical crisis; or support connecting military families during a personal emergency.
During Red Cross Month in March, donate to support the many urgent needs of our mission. Your gift helps ensure no one faces an emergency alone. #HelpCantWait
Your generosity becomes shelter, food and care for families devastated by disasters like severe storms, floods and fires. It provides lifesaving blood for patients battling cancer, childbirth complications and traumatic injuries. It delivers first aid and CPR for neighbors in crisis. And it connects deployed military members with loved ones back home during personal emergencies.

Red Cross workers help families affected by a home or other disasters. Your gift will ensure that people receive a warm blanket, a meal, a snack, and a comfort kit with the basic personal supplies needed in the aftermath of a disaster.
On average, the Red Cross collects blood platelet donations at more than 500 blood drives and donation centers across the country each day. Your gift will help the Red Cross collect and deliver blood and platelet donations to serve hospital patients.
Red Cross emergency response vehicles deliver warm meals, snacks, and relief supplies. Your gift will ensure people in need have vital supplies following a disaster
On average, about 8,000 people receive Red Cross first aid, CPR, and AED training every day. Your gift ensures Red Cross volunteers and supporters are ready to perform lifesaving training.
Each year, the Red Cross supports service members, veterans and their families through more than 60,000 emergency communications cases.
About every 10 minutes, the Red Cross responds to a disaster in local communities. Your gift will bring urgent help and hope to local families when the next emergency strikes.
The Red Cross is proud that an average of 90 cents of every dollar we spend is invested in delivering care and comfort to those in need.
Giving Day is an opportunity for local communities to come together on one day to help the families who have been impacted by a home fire or other disaster and who urgently need Red Cross services to get back on their feet.
The twelfth annual American Red Cross Giving Day is on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. Giving Day takes place in March during Red Cross Month, when we recognize the people who make our mission possible — volunteers, blood donors, people trained in lifesaving skills and our supporters — who step up to aid others when #HelpCantWait.
In the weeks leading up to Giving Day, we'll share stories of how the Red Cross is helping families prepare for and recover from disasters big and small, each and every day. This year, our goal is to bring together 30,000 supporters to help families when they need it most.
You can get involved in three main ways:
Make a financial donation on Giving Day. Unite with thousands of compassionate people like you by donating at redcross.org/GivingDay. Your gift provides shelter, food, relief items, emotional support and other assistance.
