Rick is a Member of the law firm of Brennan, Manna & Diamond, an 84-attorney law firm having offices in Ohio, Florida, and Arizona. Rick has practiced law for 40 years in the Summit County community, concentrating his practice in estates, trusts, and tax planning. He received his B.S./B.A. degree in finance from The Ohio State University and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Akron School of Law. Rick has been consistently designated as one of the Best Lawyers of America™ from 1997-2024 and as an Ohio Super Lawyer™ from 2004-2024.

Rick has served as an Adjunct Professor for over 20 years at the University of Akron, lecturing in the Masters in Taxation program and at the University of Akron School of Law in the areas of Estate and Gift Taxation and Estate Planning.

In addition to serving in various roles for such nonprofit organizations as Akron Children’s Hospital Advisory Board, the Akron Rotary Club, and University of Akron Foundation Gifts & Estate Planning Committee, Rick has served as a Board member and Board Chair for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Akron, Mobile Meals, Access, Inc., Greenleaf Family Services, the American Red Cross of Akron and the Greater Mahoning Valley, Northern Ohio Golf Charities, the Northern Ohio Golf Charities Foundation, and Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens. Rick has also accumulated 40 years of service as a volunteer at Firestone Country Club on behalf of Northern Ohio Golf Charities and was Tournament Chair in 1996 of the NEC Invitational-World Golf Championship Rick was a member of Leadership Akron Class IX and has been a recipient of the (Summa) Charles Deering Legacy Advisor Leadership Award, as well as the University of Akron School of Law 2018 Outstanding Alumni Award.
