Thomas started his career with Red Cross in 2022 as the Disaster Program Manager for the Southwest Florida Chapter after serving as a volunteer. Most recently, he served as Disaster Risk Reduction Coordinator for the Red Cross Community Adaptation Program in Sarasota County, prior to accepting the role of Executive Director, Southwest Florida Chapter in May 2024. Prior to Red Cross, he worked in a variety of roles with Sysco Foodservice for 15 years. He lives in Bradenton with his wife Teri, and has two sons, Andrew and Jackson, in college in Wisconsin.
