It’s easy to get involved with the Red Cross in Northwest Indiana. Sarah Moss joined the American Red Cross in 2011 as an account manager with Biomedical Services where she served various areas in the Northwest Indiana chapter before joining the Humanitarian Services team as Executive Director in 2023.
Deeply committed to service, Sarah is passionate about strengthening communities before, during and after disasters. In her role, she has deployed to several national disasters where she served as the Elected Official Liaison, leading the team of staff and volunteers engaging with state and local elected officials.
Sarah holds a MBA from Purdue University and a Doctor of Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University, where her doctoral research focused on how disaster response organizations can adapt to the increasing frequency and severity of climate-driven disasters. Outside of her professional work, she remains actively involved in local civic initiatives and community preparedness efforts throughout the Northwest Chapter.
