The Volunteer Board is the governing body for Southeastern Massachusetts and is composed of representatives from many different community sectors. This group develops the vision for our chapter and determines the policies that guide our decisions. The Board ensures that the chapter is an effective steward of our donors’ contributions.
Kevin Ralph was elected to the Board of Directors in 2016 and serves as the Board Chair, as well as the chair of the Mission Committee. Kevin is the vice president at The Angeletti Group (TAG), a full-service firm serving the non-profit community with the mission of providing philanthropic counsel to organizations in education, healthcare, and community building. Prior to joining TAG he served as the senior vice president and chief development officer for the Cape Cod Healthcare Foundation where he oversaw all fundraising efforts on behalf of Cape Cod Hospital, Falmouth Hospital, the Visiting Nurse Association of the Cape & Islands and all other service-line areas of the healthcare system. Prior to his arrival at CCHC, he was Chief Development Officer at the American Red Cross - North Jersey Region where he led his team to a record-setting $32 million revenue target in 2014. Kevin began his career at his alma mater, Drew University in Madison, NJ, where he worked full-time in the development and alumni relations office. A New Jersey native, he currently resides in East Sandwich, MA, with his wife, Elizabeth, and son, Sawyer.
James Creed was elected to the Board of Directors in 2019 and serves as the Vice Chair of the Board as well as the chair of the Biomedical Committee. Born and raised in Weymouth MA, James currently resides in Bridgewater with his wife Laura and their 3 children. James graduated from Westfield State University in 2003 and later went on to earn a Master’s Degree from Boston University a Graduate Certificate from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, & an Executive Certificate in Public Leadership from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. James began his career with the Plymouth County Sheriff's Department as a Correction Officer 2005. In 2007, he became a full time Deputy Sheriff and was assigned to the K9 Unit. Where, he presently serves as a Captain. James was honored as a Red Cross Hero in 2017 for his role in saving the life of Rosemary Heath, a former board member.
Youssef is a Senior Vice President of Commercial Banking for Eastern Bank where he has worked for over 27 years. Youssef is responsible for providing clients with financing and cash management solutions including loans for commercial real estate; working capital needs; equipment; ESOP Financing, and Business acquisitions.
Youssef grew up in Casablanca, Morocco, immigrated to the U.S. and subsequently enrolled at UMass Boston. Shortly thereafter, he started his banking career in 1992 as a teller at the Boston Five Cents Savings Bank and then went on to work at Hibernia Savings Bank, which was acquired by Eastern Bank in 1998. Youssef earned a degree in business management and finance from Bentley University and completed the Executive Leadership Institute with the Boston Chamber of Commerce.
Youssef has been active in serving his community. He currently serves on the board of Cardinal Cushing Centers as Vice Chair where he has been a member for seven years. Youssef lives in Plymouth with his wife, Cristina, their daughter Sofia, and their adorable dog.
Brian was elected to the Board of Directors in 2023 and serves on the Board Development Committee. He has over 38 years of experience in Information Technology risks and controls with Fidelity Investments, Commonwealth Energy System and the General Electric Company. Brian holds a Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and a Master in Business Administration from Boston College. A well-respected leader in the community, Brian has provided technology risk perspectives for several Fidelity affiliated boards. He currently serves as the President of the Board for Compassionate Care ALS in Falmouth and serves on the Information Technology Committee for the Cape Cod Technical High Advisory Committee. Recently retired, Brian resides full time in Harwich with his wife, has two adult children living in the Boston area and enjoys golfing and his new granddaughter.
Caroline has been an HR professional for over 30 years. Most recently, she was the Head of HR for KPMG’s New England and Upstate New York business unit before retiring in 2021. Caroline’s extensive HR experience included employee and management compensation, diversity & inclusion, training & development, employee relations & investigations and performance management. She attended Suffolk University where she graduated with a Bachelor’s in Sociology and a minor in Psychology. Caroline and her husband, Tom, moved to Cotuit in December of 2020. They have four adult children, three grandchildren and three adorable, spoiled dogs.
Barry R. Crimmins was elected to the Board of Directors in 2021 and serves on the Board’s Philanthropy Committee. Barry is the principal of the Law Offices of Barry R. Crimmins, P.C., with offices located in Stoughton, Falmouth, and Hyannis. His practice has focused for over 30 years on Estate Planning, Estate Administration, and Elder Law and Medicaid Planning, where he has assisted many elders and their families in long-term care planning and asset protection, as well as younger families and retirees with all aspects of Estate Planning. He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Plymouth County Bar Association, and the Bar Association of Norfolk County. He has served for over 20 years as an elected member of the Stoughton Housing Authority, currently serving as Chairman and the Authority’s representative to the Stoughton Community Preservation Committee, as well as serving on the Board of Directors of the Stoughton branch of the Old Colony YMCA and the Children’s Museum of Easton. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from Bentley College and his Juris Doctorate degree from New England School of Law. Attorney Crimmins is a life-long resident in his hometown of Stoughton, Massachusetts, where he resides with his wife and two children.
Nanette Davidson was elected to the Board of Directors in 2019 and serves on the both the Board Development and Philanthropy Committees. She is a Vice President of the Business Banking Group for the Cape Cod Division for Rockland Trust where she has been employed for the past 38 years. Nanette currently oversees 17 community-based branches within Cape Cod and the Islands and has been recognized as Rockland Trust’s Business Officer of the Year in 2015 and 2018. Her civic involvement includes volunteer board-level participation in such organizations as WellStrong and Wings for Falmouth Families. Nanette has been an active volunteer for China Adoptions with Love, acting as a liaison between the Adoption Agency and families adopting from China; and Gosnold of Cape Cod, acting as family liaison/family services advisor. Nanette is a graduate of Barnstable High School and Fairfield University (CT) Center for Financial Studies. She lives in Marstons Mills and is the mother of two children. She enjoys cycling, running gardening, home interior design, volunteering and photography.
Eva was elected to the Board of Directors in 2023 and serves on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. She began her employment with the Federal Employment- Federal Bureau Investigation (FBI) for two-years before entering the United States Military Army National Guard where she served for twelve years, the 26^th^ Personnel Company. At the same time, she was employed by Verizon for twenty-five years in clerical and management positions. Eva is very active within her community and is the founder of the Christian Tea Party Girls which served children from the ages of seven to twelve years old by teaching them life skills. She also co-founded the Women of Worship (WOW), which was revamped due to Covid to To-gather God’s Truth (TGT) which empowers women to come together and have a safe platform to express themselves in a wellness approach. She is also the Co-founder of the Umbrella Project MA which serves youth, young adults, and families in wellness activities, workshops, mentoring, and much more. Eva and her husband, Pastor Michael Gilbert of the New Life Temple of Holiness Church, reside in Brockton and have three children, their spouses and four grandchildren.
Kimberly Howes was elected to the Board of Directors in 2022 and serves on the Philanthropy Committee. Ms. Howes is an Assistant Vice President at Cape Cod 5, serving as a Banking Services Officer, overseeing the Banking Services Administration at the Bank, supporting 21 retail Banking Centers and 150 retail employees. She has been with the bank since 2016 and now oversees the Bank's chat channel and manages the Bank's float team. Kimberly holds a Bachelors’ degree in Marketing and New Media from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and is pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration from Fitchburg State University with a focus on human resources management. She previously served on the board of the Upper Cape Cod Business and Professional Women and was honored was their Woman of the Year in 2012. Additionally, she served five years on the board of the Cape & Islands United Way. Kimberly resides in Sandwich with her husband Barry, and together they have four children: Colin, Ryan, Morgan, and Madison.
Colonel Nicole Ivers was elected to the Board of Directors in 2019 and serves on the Board’s Biomedical Committee. Col. Nicole Ivers is commander of the 102nd Mission Support Group, Otis Air National Guard Base, Massachusetts. She is responsible for leading 386 military and civilian personnel who provide Engineering, Contracting, Supply, Transportation, Personnel, Services, Communications, PMEL, Logistics and Security to the 102nd Intelligence Wing and Base Operational Support to Joint Base Cape Cod. Col. Ivers earned her commission through a direct commissioning opportunity. She began her military career when she enlisted in the Massachusetts Army National Guard upon graduating high school. She became a full-time member shortly upon graduating military technical school. After serving 21 years in the MA ARNG, she transferred to the MA ANG where she served as the Wing Executive Officer, Public Affairs Officer, Comptroller Flight Commander, and Logistics Readiness Flight Commander. She deployed in support of OPERATION Enduring Freedom. Prior to her current position she served as the Deputy Commander, 102nd Mission Support Group.
Rob Moodie was elected to the Board of Directors in 2022 and serves on the Board’s Development and Engagement Committee. He spent 38 years in the commercial banking industry, leading teams focused on both Commercial & Industrial financing and Commercial Real Estate financing in New England, as well as syndicated financing on a national scale. Rob He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and a Master’s degree from Boston College. He has held previous volunteer positions with several organizations including Habitat for Humanity, the YMCA, and SCORE, as well as serving as a coach in several youth sports programs. His role with the American Red Cross suits his desire to support the local community in times of need. Upon retirement, Rob and his wife settled on Cape Cod in Orleans where they enjoy numerous outdoor activities. They have three adult children living in the Boston area.
Megan O’Brien is a Branch Manager at North Easton Savings Bank. Megan has been with North Easton Savings Bank (formerly Mutual Bank) for 16 years and has worked in the retail banking division for her continued career. Megan is a lifelong Brockton resident and a graduate alumnus of Brockton High School. She continued her education at Massasoit Community College and then went on to finish at Bridgewater State College pursuing Finance. Megan currently serves on the board of School on Wheels Massachusetts and is an active volunteer in the community that she lives and works. Recently joining the American Red Cross – Southeastern chapter, in her first year she is excited to dive into working with such a great organization! On her spare time, she enjoys watching sunsets, walking the beach, hiking/traveling, good music, and time laughing family and friends.
Leslie Poulin was elected to the Board of Directors in 2021 and serves as the chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. Ms. Poulin is a Marketing Strategist for Mass Mutual Insurance Company. Prior to this role, she served at First Citizens’ as Senior Director of Marketing in 2016. She has dedicated numerous hours to volunteer work and community outreach. Ms. Poulin is actively engaged in the community and servers as a member of the AHA! Steering Committee, Greater New Bedford Suicide Prevention Coalition and Rise Up for Homes Advisory Committee. She serves on the board for Junior Achievement and the YWCA Southeastern MA. Born in New Bedford, MA, Leslie earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth. She earned her certificate in Marketing Strategy from Cornell University in 2016. She currently resides in Acushnet, MA with her husband and their two daughters.
Beth was elected to the Board of Directors in 2023. Born and raised on Cape Cod (in Sandwich) Beth and her husband Billy are both life-partners and business partners, starting their ServPro franchise back in Dec 2007.
A graduate of Sandwich High School and subsequently of Cape Cod Community College’s degree program with Suffolk University, Beth would go on to work in non-profits (like Community Connections) before serving on their boards (like Cape Cod Children’s Museum, Canal Chamber of Commerce and Martha’s Vineyard Chamber of Commerce).
Beth has held many leadership positions and she prides herself on getting things done. Anything worth doing is worth doing well is her mantra. She resides in Bourne with her husband Billy and together, they have three grown children and three adorable granddaughters.
Andrew Simpson was elected to the Board of Directors in 2021 and serves as the chair of the Philanthropy Committee. Andrew is honored to help further the ARC’s mission of emergency assistance, disaster relief, and disaster preparedness education and spearheads fundraising efforts for the Southeastern MA chapter. Throughout his career, Andrew has spent his free time giving back to his community in important and meaningful ways. He has volunteered in similar Board roles with leading Southeastern MA non-profit organizations such as the Zeiterion Performing Arts Center, the New Bedford Ocean Explorium, and the Harvard Club of New Bedford/Fall River, where he served as President and Chairman of the Board for 12 years. Andrew is a graduate of Harvard University and is well connected in the technology and business community in Massachusetts and throughout the Northeastern United States.
