When disaster strikes, relief cannot wait.
Families need shelter, food, water, first aid and emotional support. They need the American Red Cross.
On average, every 24 hours the Red Cross responds to a disaster right here in Central California, from devastating home fires to wildfires to floods and more. You can help us provide a Shelter of Hope to our neighbors in need.
Join us this fall as the Shelter of Hope travels throughout our Central California region raising funds and awareness to support local disaster relief. Visit a simulated shelter. Learn about the programs and services we provide. Meet our volunteers and staff.
FAST FACT: It costs an average of $550 to provide immediate assistance to help a family of three recover from a disaster. Your generosity will provide care and compassion for families in need throughout our region and beyond. Donations enable the Red Cross to respond quickly and efficiently whenever we’re needed to deliver help, hugs and hope — a Shelter of Hope.
