MANASSAS, VA. TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 14, 2017 — For 100 years, the American Red Cross has been serving greater Prince William County residents by providing support to victims of disasters, making lifesaving blood available, providing international humanitarian aid, and supporting military members and their families. To help us celebrate this milestone, Greater Prince William County residents are cordially invited to our Centennial Celebration, along with volunteers, staff, donors, community leaders and elected officials.
“We are thrilled to give thanks to – and celebrate with – the community that has made the Red Cross’ work possible,” said Erwin Stierle, Executive Director of Loudoun and Prince William Counties. “For the past century, the people in our region have generously donated their time, blood and resources to help the Red Cross help those facing disaster – both at home and abroad. We simply could not do our work without your help and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”
This special event will include lines of service "stations" for guests to learn exactly what the Red Cross does in Prince William County, the National Capital Region, across the country and around the world. This will include a showcase of our free Hands Only CPR and Sound the Alarm programs, recognize and thank volunteers who deployed to recent major disasters around our country, and Red Cross stories from Prince William County residents. This free, family-friendly affair will include light food and non-alcoholic beverages.
The event is bring generously sponsored by Dulles Glass in Manassas, VA.
