It’s easy to get involved with the Red Cross in the Quad Cities and West Central Illinois. Local opportunities include becoming a trained disaster relief response volunteer helping people affected by home fires; supporting trauma, cancer, and other patients in need by donating blood, platelet, and plasma at our local blood donation center; and learning CPR, First AID, and other lifesaving skills that will prepare you to respond to emergencies.

Trish Burnett joined the American Red Cross in 2015, as the Regional Communication and Marketing Director for the Central and Southern Illinois Region. Trish managed media relations, marketing, public relations and was a member of the Advanced Public Relations team with specialized training in disaster and crisis communication.
In 2018, Trish was promoted to Executive Director for the Quad Cities and West Central Illinois Chapter. As the Executive Director, Trish continues to support volunteers, donors and staff ensuring a strong Red Cross presence for humanitarian services and biomed. The Red Cross mission is at the heart of her work and she is proud to serve in her home town and across the 21 counties in the chapter.
