August 18, 2022 — The South Central Ohio Chapter of the American Red Cross opened a new office in Lancaster. Located at 828 Memorial Drive, the office provides the Lancaster community with a space to receive Red Cross services while giving Red Cross staff and volunteers a hub to meet, administer training, and operate blood drives.
“I am absolutely thrilled to have an office space in Lancaster,” said Matthew Riddle, Executive Director of the South Central Ohio Chapter. “Being here lets us reengage with the community. There are so many possibilities with a space like this.” The location helps provide services for people in Adams, Athens, Clinton, Fairfield, Fayette, Highland, Hocking, Pickaway, Ross and Vinton counties.
Classes and trainings that will be taught from the new Lancaster office include fire safety, CPR, first aid and many more. The space will also host blood drives, allowing the members of the Lancaster area to support others in the community with blood and platelet donations.
In addition to the trainings, classes and blood drives being held at the new office, there is space on-site dedicated to disaster response to ensure that the Red Cross can help community members impacted by disaster when they need it the most.
“I am looking forward to doing great things here in the future,” Riddle concluded. The new Lancaster office is open daily during the week.
