MCALLEN, TX (September 25, 2018) – Executive Director of The American Red Cross of South Texas has deployed to South Carolina to help residents there in the wake of Hurricane Florence. The Texas Gulf Coast Region has deployed more than twenty volunteers and employees with knowledge and experience in disaster response.
"I eagerly accepted the opportunity for deployment to the Carolinas to support the recovery efforts for those affected by Hurricane Florence. I'm joining other Red Crossers from across the country to serve families who have lost everything in the aftermath of this storm. During Hurricane Harvey many volunteers deployed from across the nation to support our recovery efforts. In return, a number of Texas Red Crossers are making it a priority to assist efforts in the Carolinas.,” said Danella Hughes, Executive Director, American Red Cross South Texas.
