"There's a lot of people in back of them (Red Cross). There are a lot of people that want to do good," said Tony Bombin, a lifelong resident of Charlotte County who lost his home to Hurricane Ian 18 months ago. He's still on the road to recovery, but his interaction with Red Cross volunteers in the immediate aftermath of the Category 4 storm helped him bridge the gap between despair and hope.
Tony is one of thousands of Ian survivors that turned to the Red Cross for help. His long-term recovery has had its obstacles -- his path has taken him out of state to find stable housing -- but he has never lost hope thanks to our compassionate community of supporters.
