Greenwich, Conn., September 1, 2022 - The American Red Cross Metro NY North Chapter welcomes Lisa Cooper as its new Chair of the Board of Directors. The Metro NY Chapter serves Westchester and Rockland counties, the US Military Academy at West Point, and Greenwich, Conn.
Ms. Cooper has served on the Metro New York North Board since 2010. Prior to becoming Chair, she has held positions as co-Chair of multiple committees including Mission Preparedness, Youth Services, and the Red & White Ball.
Ms. Cooper is the Vice President of Business Development for Chief Executive Group (CEG) and directs support of CEO, Board, and C-level relationships in software technology, consulting services, hospitality, aviation, and insurance industries.

The Metro New York North Chapter also welcomed five new board members. Each will serve a three-year term:

Ted Berenblum
Ted's 40-year financial services experience includes global portfolio management, asset allocation, investment product management, financial market analysis, and international business development. He was the Managing Director and Head of Alternative Investments for BNY Mellon Wealth Management, Chairman of the Alternative Investment Strategy Committee, and President of the Mellon Optima Long/Short Strategy Fund. Ted earned his bachelor's degree from Yale University and his master's degree from New York University's Stern School of Business.
Adam Hellman
Adam joined Google in 2008 and is currently the Director of Professional Services. He is responsible for defining and driving Google’s professional services strategy globally for Google’s top monetization partnerships. Adam came to Google from IBM Global Business Services where he was a Senior Consultant in the Public Sector Practice providing technical consulting on supply chain, change management, and data management engagements for clients including the U.S. Army and FEMA. Adam holds a B.A from the University of Pennsylvania and lives in Riverside, CT.
Joseph McHugh
Joseph McHugh is the Fire Chief of the Greenwich Fire Department. He started at the Sound Beach Volunteer Fire Dept in 1984 and joined the ranks of the Fire Department of the City of New York in 1991 as a Firefighter in Manhattan. Chief McHugh is a fire service leader, Instructor, Investigator, Emergency responder, Mentor, and Expert witness and resides in Port Chester with his wife Pam, daughter Molly, and son Johnny. He graduated from the University of New Haven in 1990 with a B.A. in Arson Investigation.
Lauren E. Walsh
Lauren Walsh is a philanthropist and community leader. She is deeply involved in several Greenwich nonprofits, including the American Red Cross Metro New York North Chapter, the Greenwich YWCA, and the Greenwich Emergency Medical Services. In addition, Lauren actively supports the Greenwich First Responders, including the Police, Fire and EMS Departments, and she is dedicated to the health and wellbeing of children and families through Greenwich Hospital’s pediatrics and NICU campaigns. She received her B.A. from Pine Manor College and has worked in retail and visual merchandising, including positions at J. Crew, Ralph Lauren, and Kate Spade.
Michele Wolfram
Michele Wolfram, Chair of the Host Committee for both the 2022 and the 2023 Metro New York North Red & White Ball. Prior to retiring to raise her four children, Michele served as Assistant District Attorney in the NYC Special Narcotics Prosecutor’s office. Before her present position on the board of the YWCA of Greenwich, Michele was also a judicial clerk under the Honorable Eric Holder in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. She has been actively involved with Brunswick School, Greenwich Academy, Kids in Crisis, and Girl Rising.
