Donating to the Greater New York Red Cross by naming us in your will or estate plan is a special way that you can help us fulfill our mission of helping residents of our region prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. Planned giving allows you to include charitable donations in your overall financial plan, which helps to ensure the future strength of our organization.
Every day, the American Red Cross assists people who face disasters. They knew where to turn when disaster struck. They knew that—365 days a year—the American Red Cross was ready to help.
Through Ready 365, you can help too. As a Ready 365 Giving Program member, your company stands with the Red Cross as we provide lifesaving services.
Companies and their employees can support the important work of the American Red Cross. Red Cross staff and volunteers offer critical services that make a daily impact in the communities where you live and work in. When you donate through the workplace, you can make a difference in down the street, across the country and around the world.
We’re seeking PreResponders. People who are aware that money donated before disaster goes further and creates more relief for survivors. People who have an emotional connection with the city they live in, who believe that when they protect their city, the city protects them in return.
Part of our PreResponder Campaign, the renovated donation center will offer a permanent location for donors to give blood and platelets locally and offer additional donation opportunities while providing lifesaving blood products to the community. Platelets play a critical role in the treatment of millions of people fighting cancer and other chronic diseases, as well as those recovering from traumatic injuries.
