After the holidays, 9-year-old Maddy got together with her third-grade class to collect stuffed animals to donate to children who lost their toys due to homefires.

Our Services to the Armed Forces team stepped in to assist a disabled veteran in relocating his personal belongings to his permanent residence. Our team partnered with the PTSD Foundation of America in San Antonio to help the veteran.

The Central Texas Chapter partners with Austin Pets Alive! to help pet owners affected by natural disasters. APA! will provide temporary pet housing, the cost of medical bills, food/supplies, and other pet-related needs.

Our National Sound the Alarm events in Laredo and Waco were hugely successful! Over 652 smoke alarms were installed, making 215 homes safer.

Our Central and South Texas region celebrated Red Cross Month with multiple counties proclaiming March as Red Cross Month.

Our disaster teams responded to the aftermath of a tornado in Temple, Texas. Working with community partners, emergency management, and officials, our teams opened a shelter location and supported communities affected with relief and supplies.

In July, the staff members from the Central and South Texas region traveled to Houston to assist in the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl.

Our West Texas Chapter hosted a series of blood drives in El Paso to help save lives.
