DALLAS – FORT WORTH — The American Red Cross DFW continues to assist families impacted by the tornado that struck east Arlington on Tuesday night. As damage assessment nears completion with over 117 homes and apartments sustaining damage rated at major or destroyed.
Red Cross casework teams will help each family develop their recovery plan. Caseworkers will work with residents to provide assistance and help connect them with additional community resources. Emergency lodging and meals and snacks will continue access to health services, mental health, and spiritual care will be available for as long as there is a need.
Following the guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Red Cross is continuing to do our part to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by wearing masks, social distancing and, when possible, using virtual means to provide assistance.
