If you’re one of the millions of Americans starting 2024 with a newfound resolve to get (or stay) active, the American Red Cross can help. As we approach the end of January — a time when research shows that approximately two-thirds of Americans give up on their New Year’s resolutions — the Red Cross is preparing to host two Facebook Challenges starting February 1.
Sign up for the 58 Mile Walk Challenge or the 150 Mile Bike Challenge — or if you’re feeling ambitious, both — to fundraise for Red Cross Disaster Relief while keeping your resolutions going. In both challenges, participants engage their community through the Red Cross Challenges Facebook Group to raise funds from friends and family. Participants can also earn swag, including a Red Cross tumbler.
Past challenge participants enjoy the motivation to stay active while supporting a cause that matters to them.
Rachael joined the January 2023 Bike Challenge to hold herself accountable to stay active while working hard for a cause close to her heart.
“The American Red Cross saves so many lives on a daily basis and if I can give back in any way, I’m all in 100%,” she said.
Since 2021, the Red Cross has hosted Facebook Challenges throughout the year to help people affected by disasters big and small including flood, wildfires, and countless other crises. Together, this community has raised over $1.4M for disaster relief. To learn more or register, visit the Red Cross Facebook Challenges page.
