For Women's History Month, we are highlighting some of the incredible women who support our organization. Over the next few weeks, we will showcase several board members and Tiffany Circle ladies across our channels. Today, we're telling you about one of our extraordinary Tiffany Circle and new Broward Chapter board members, Katy Ellis.
Katy Ellis currently oversees rental properties in Pompano Beach and Marathon. A former top salesperson in the hospitality industry, she's been a member of the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association for more than 20 years, where she was active in membership recruiting and community outreach. She lived in St. Petersburg from 1992 until her marriage to Tom Ellis brought her to Pompano Beach in 2019. Katy and Tom have six children: Katy has two boys and a girl, and Tom has two girls and a boy. You can find her working out, fishing, boating or traveling in her free time.
Katy has been involved in the community for several years and is an active member of the American Red Cross Tiffany Circle of philanthropic women. She also recently joined the Board of Directors for the Broward County chapter of the Red Cross. She has been exposed to the organization's mission for quite some time. Katy explains, "Having lived almost my whole life in hurricane-prone areas from Louisiana to Florida, I've seen firsthand the amazing work the American Red Cross can do. When the opportunity arose to join the American Red Cross, I couldn't think of a better way to help make a positive impact locally and beyond."
