As a community-based humanitarian organization, the American Red Cross South Florida Region prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.
We respond approximately every 20 hours to emergencies and disasters across the region—home fires, floods, and weather related emergencies—and more, providing shelter, food, clothing and emotional support at no cost to those in need. Read more about the Red Cross Mission.
The South Florida Region of the American Red Cross is comprised of four chapters: Palm Beach and Treasure Coast, Broward County, Greater Miami and The Keys, and Florida Gulf Coast to Heartland. Together, these chapters serve a population of nearly 8 million people across 13 counties.
