Proceeds Support Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces Program
The American Red Cross has partnered with Scent-Stations, Inc. in Wilkes-Barre to raise money for the Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces program.
Scent-Stations will donate 40% from every sale of their Freedom hand painted simmer pots (pictured) and selected melts. Scent-Sations has been creating Mia Bella's natural wax candles and flameless scented products for 16 years.
Its Red Cross fundraiser program will continue through Veterans Day. To buy one of the simmer pots, visit www.miabellacares.com.
“The Red Cross serves and supports the members of the military community including active-duty, veterans and their families by providing emergency communications, comfort and assistance each day,” said Bill Goldsworthy, Executive Director for the American Red Cross of Northeast PA. “We’re grateful that Scent-Stations, a local company right here in Eastern Pennsylvania, also recognizes the importance of helping our military families and is supporting us through the Service to the Armed Forces program.”
The Red Cross provides help in person wherever it is needed, alongside the troops throughout the world, in military and veteran medical facilities like the V.A. Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre, on stateside military installations and in communities far from a base.
The American Red Cross has a long history of helping our nation’s military, dating all the way back to Clara Barton’s work in the Civil War. Today’s American Red Cross workers proudly carry on this tradition through the Service to the Armed Forces program, which serves as a critical line of communication between the Armed Forces and their families.
The Service to the Armed Forces mission is supported by thousands of Red Cross volunteers, ranging from civilian to active duty. Today, one in five U.S. adults or their family members have benefited from Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces.
