Red Ball 2025 | Event | Southeastern PA Red Cross

Red Ball 2025 will be held Saturday, April 5 from 7 to 11 p.m. (VIP cocktail hour 6-7 p.m.). This year’s signature fundraising gala for the American Red Cross will be held along Philadelphia’s Avenue of the Arts. Red Ball will be held at The Grande Belle, the recently renovated and reopened ballroom inside the historic Bellevue Hotel, located at Broad and Walnut.

The Grand Belle at The Bellevue Hotel features one of Philadelphia’s most revered ballrooms which encompasses the beauty and grandeur of the Gilded Age in which it was designed. A cornerstone of Philadelphia’s Avenue of the Arts, the ballroom has been home to some of Philadelphia’s most opulent affairs for more than a century. The VIP cocktail hour will be held in The Mezzanine overlooking the Grand Ballroom. Then, you’ll get the chance to dine and dance under the ballroom’s famed chandeliers.

Red Ball is a reception style gala. It’s elegance without the long sit-down dinner! Guests enjoy passed hors d’oeuvres and fabulous themed food stations including a chilled seafood bar and top shelf open bar throughout the evening. Food station themes vary from year to year and will be announced soon. The evening finishes with a dessert station and espresso bar.

Red Ball is a formal, black-tie optional, gala. Guests are encouraged to wear red to show their support for the American Red Cross. For more photos and fashion ideas, check out our photo albums from last year:

Red Ball has live music courtesy of CTO Artists and a DJ to keep the dance floor jumping all night. In addition, there’s a photo booth, red carpet-style photos at the step and repeat and a silent auction. But wait, there’s more! We’ve got a special lounge planned for outside the ballroom area with themed food and drinks, plus in a nod to our new Avenue of the Arts location, there are art-themed activities planned!

Katie Fehlinger has served as host and emcee for Red Ball since 2020. The author and former CBS3 weather anchor walks Red Ball guests through the lifesaving mission of the American Red Cross and shares the stories of how the Red Cross makes a difference in the lives of people in the Philadelphia area every day.
