Many companies offer matching gift programs that will double, even triple a donation's value. Check with your company to find out if your company will match your contribution to the Southeastern Pennsylvania Region of the American Red Cross. Once confirmed, obtain the appropriate form from your personnel/human resources office and send it with a copy of your gift receipt to the address below:

Donating stock, bonds, or mutual funds that have gone up in value may be a tax-wise way for you to support the American Red Cross, Southeastern Pennsylvania Region. First, you receive a federal income tax deduction for the full market value of the securities as long as you have owned them for at least one year. Second, you avoid the capital gains taxes that you would owe if you sold these securities.
Thoughtful gift planning can provide you and others with lifetime income, reduce your taxes (capital gains, income, estate), and allow you to make a significant gift that sustains the valuable services of the American Red Cross. Planned gifts include bequests and life-income gifts, such as charitable gift annuities and charitable remainder trusts.
