The American Red Cross is fortunate to have nearly 372,000 volunteers worldwide, and we take volunteer engagement seriously, from onboarding and placement to mentoring and development.
If you are a “people-person” – outgoing, positive and persuasive – this may be the perfect volunteer role for you. You’ll use your relationship-building skills to forge strong partnerships with our diverse volunteers, paid staff, management and board members. You will primarily work within the Red Cross, although some roles also require engagement with the public. Depending on the position, you may be working remotely or in person, but you’ll always be interacting with other volunteers, coordinating their efforts and celebrating their achievements.
Work location will primarily be your local Red Cross chapter office, although some positions can be done from home. Time commitments vary by position but “Team Empowerment” assignments typically require a weekly shift.
All necessary training will be provided.
